The Gardens on Spring Creek

[ 0 ] June 16, 2016 |

The Gardens on Spring Creek, Fort Collins’ community-based botanical gardens and horticulture program, opened its doors in 2004. Centrally located at 2145 Centre Ave., The Gardens on Spring Creek offers a peaceful, beautiful, and educational experience for all Northern Colorado families and individuals of all ages. The Gardens currently comprise eight  demonstration gardens, including the Children’s Garden, the Wetland and Riparian Demonstration Site, the Daylily Demonstration Garden, and the Xeric Parkway Strip. There are even (very popular)  Community Garden plots available for $50 a year (plus a $50 refundable deposit) on a first-come-first-serve basis. In addition to serving as a wonderful outdoor refuse, The Gardens on Spring Creek offers youth and adult education programs, hosts field trips and  private events, and pairs with Colorado State University’s Department of Natural Sciences in various Citizen Science Programs. Sign up for the newsletter and stay informed about year-round special events and offerings. Although a recent addition to our city, The Gardens on Spring Creek has become a Fort Collins treasure.
